The upcoming update for DocuFreezer, a batch file converter for Windows, is already under development. In the new version, OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology will be introduced, which will allow you to recognize text by converting documents or images to searchable PDF or plain text (TXT).

Recognize text using OCR with upcoming DocuFreezer

Faster Word to PDF and PDF to JPEG Conversion

The processing core of DocuFreezer will have better performance. According to the devs, the new DocuFreezer will convert Word DOC and DOCX files to PDF 5 times faster, and PDF to JPEG 2 times faster. The new version is coming in October 2018 — it is currently being improved and tested.

Hold on, what is OCR?

Optical Character Recognition is the recognition of printed or written text characters by a computer software. DocuFreezer 2.1 will batch convert files to plain text (.txt) or searchable PDF (.pdf). This means you'll be able to easily get editable PDFs or text files out of e.g. digital copies of your invoices, applications, printouts of static data, or any other suitable documentation. How cool is that?
